Start with a simple prompt like this and tell it to never delete anything. :

“Look through this folder and come back with a plan before you touch anything. You can move and organize files, but do not delete anything. If you think something should go, show me and I will decide. Wait for me to approve the plan before you make any changes.”

Safety Note: Start on a folder you would not miss, like your downloads. If you ever point it at real business files, make a backup first.
